Tips for downloading games for the Macintosh

If you try to download an Exile game, and find that your browser is spouting gibberish, or that you download the archive and get a Corrupt Archive error, there are several things you can do:

• A Corrupt Archive error probably means you don't have recent enough decompression software. Go to Aladdin Software and download the latest version of Stuffit Lite. This should solve the problem. Go Get Stuffit Lite
• If you click on the Download button, but your screen just fills up with gibberish, your browser is not recognizing the StuffIt archive correctly. Try downloading the BinHexed version instead. It's a bigger file, but a more stable download.
• If you download the program and it unpacks, but doesn't run, read the READ ME file. It gives lots of good tips on how to prevent crashes.
