Spirited Pumpkin Pie

Buy or make a crust of your choice in a 10 inch pie pan. For the recipe the crust should have already been baked to golden brown, 450 for 15 min, then cooled.

Filling

1 can solid pack pumpkin
1/2 cup packed dark brown Molasses sugar
1 Tbsp flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 t ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground mace
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1/4 tsp ground cloves
3 large eggs
1 cup real whipping cream
1/4 cup whole milk
1/4 cup dark rum
1 +1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 375. Whisk first 10 ingredients in large bowl until smooth. Whisk in all remaining ingredients. Pour into crust (which should have already been backed to golden brown, 450 for 15 min).
Bake pie for 20 minutes then reduce heat to 325. Bake until filling no longer moves in center when dish is shaken, about 30 minutes. Transfer to cooling rack and cool completely before serving.
